High Spirits High Tone Double Nova Flute (D, C, B)
Overview
Our Double Flutes are as easy to play as the Single Flutes, they
take just a little bit more breath. With a double flute you play
the melody on one side and the other side provides the drone in the
root note of the flute - it sounds like two people are playing.
Our Nova double flutes are handcrafted from
domestic Spanish Cedar, which gives them
a warm, full musical voice.
The dimensions for this flute are: 30 cm long by 5 cm
wide.
Our Double Flutes have two mouthpieces so you can play it as a
double flute or a single flute instantly. The flute is tuned
in the key of 'G' minor and can also be played in the relative
major diatonic scale in the key of 'A#'.
The High Spirits 'Double Nova' Native American flute is a handmade instrument, built by renowned flutemaker Odell Borg. Odell has been making flutes for over 25 years in Arizona. The left hand flute has no fingerholes, it will therefore always play the root note when you decide to blow into both blowing holes at the same time. This will make the flute play a drone, and the right hand flute plays like a normal Native American flute.
This particular model has been made out of Spanish Cedar wood, has a length of 30 cm and is tuned to D, C or B (optional).
The flute comes with a free DVD and instructional manual, allowing you to become a good native flute player, even without any previous musical experience.
